Vintage On Florida continued...

During my trip to Florida to see my brother and his family, my brother's wife and I did an impromptu photo shoot featuring me (yikes!) wearing some of my sister-in-law's amazing Align Centervintage and vintage inspired belts. She played stylist (she is actually a stylist) and I played model. Excuse my lack of makeup, I had just woken up.

I absolutely loved these suspenders and cannot wait to find a pair of my own.

This elephant belt is such a statement piece.

This jean belt is so original. It looked just darling with this vintage floral print dress. I loved the dress so much, my sister-in-law gave it to me.

Believe it or not, this is a cummerbund, so chic.

VOP GOES PLACES: Vintage On Florida

First, let me please apologize for my lack of posts over the last couple of weeks. I needed some time to relax and prepare for my next and last semester of college. I've been spending a lot of time with my family and friends.

Currently I am in Florida, visiting my brother, his wife and their 2-year-old baby boy in Orlando. I am planning to also visit my father in Jacksonville later this week. Its been a blast and surprisingly, we kept finding vintage goodies and inspirations. Here are a few of the them.

I first saw these adorable Dolce Vita oxfords on my sister-in-law and fell in love. Being the sweetheart that she is, she took us all to Ross where me, my little sister and my mom all found a pair in our size. Score!

My brother loves planes. So while we were waiting at a Cracker Barrel for a table, we browsed around the shop and he found an old school wood airplane toy. One of the wings was broken, but we found some crazy glue and it flew like a champ.

My mom found a vintage package of her favorite candy, Mike and Ike. The orignial packaging is so much cooler.

My sister-in-law has been trying to convince my brother to buy a microwave to more easily foods. My brother, being all Emeril Lagasse (big bro is a chef, a pretty awesome one) on us and complained that microwaves destroy the taste of food. I'm inclined to agree, but when you have a hungry toddler running around, pallets and seasonings do not matter as much.

Thankfully, on the way home I spotted a little garage sale in a neighbors driveway and sitting as though it were waiting for her was a used but in very good condition microwave. We convinced them to get it and they also got a couple of very Florida wicker patio chairs, all for a great price.
